EAE Moves Depot to Allow Future Growth
Further to the recent news about our acquisition by Menzies Distribution, we have decided to move from our depot in Loanhead, Edinburgh into a much bigger facility in Newbridge Edinburgh which we will be sharing with Menzies Distribution.
This is a very positive step for EAE. We will have access to a much larger warehouse and offices, which will allow us to grow over the coming years. There are additional opportunities including better access to key transport routes such as the M8, M9 & M90 and even quicker times to Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. There are also some exciting technology developments which we’ll communicate in the New Year.
From 14 November all deliveries should be made to this new address, as the Loanhead depot will close on 30 November 2016.
1 Claylands Road
Phone: 0131 440 9444
You can access full delivery instructions here.
Contacts within EAE will remain the same and we will move any print stocks we currently have to the Newbridge premises where all campaigns will be dispatched from.
There will be no real difference day-to-day, however, if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
EAE acquired by Menzies Distribution
EAE is delighted by the announcement of its acquisition by Menzies Distribution - one of Scotland’s best known and respected brands.
By taking on EAE, Scotland’s premier print and marketing display specialists, Menzies Distribution will extend the market leading position it already occupies in England through the subsidiary Take One Media, the UK’s leading business in display and distribution of tourism information.
Following 30 years of continual innovation and development, EAE is recognised for its sustainable business practices and innovative leaflet display services. EAE’s quality of service was recognised in 2014 with the award of a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise. This tradition will continue as Menzies will focus on the same core values of quality, innovation and sustainability.
New investment will see an expanded display network, integration of digital and leaflet marketing, branding and advertising opportunities – all specialities of Take One, developed over their 30 years in the industry. We’ll be working on improved customer reporting. There will also be additional opportunities available to you through Take One which has around 8,000 merchandised displays and 29,000 outlets (it handles 50m pieces of print across 1,500 customers), supported by their other print, web, email and digital promotion channels – including social media. This is an exciting time with a unique combination of experience, technology and innovations.
We will continue to trade as EAE under my leadership as General Manager and with our existing team. We will integrate with Menzies and Take One processes and systems - this should be completed over the winter. So that we start the 2017 season raring to go with improved efficiencies and warehousing.
Current and upcoming campaigns will be unchanged and we will continue to deliver our great service to you. We will write to all customers when delivery addresses are set to change.
This is a huge vote of confidence by Menzies and we are proud that a major Scottish player with a multi-billion turnover has chosen EAE to be part of their growth strategy across the UK.
