"The Visitor Centre will continue its function as a shop, selling University clothing and other merchandise. During the festival we will also be an electronic ticket pick up point for the Fringe (from computer monitors already installed in the Visitor Centre). The Visitor Centre will be listed as a pick up point in all Fringe publications, and will provide us with signage inside and outside the Visitor Centre. As the only fringe ticket point in the central area and with the BBC’s comedy Unit coming in next door to us, we are expecting this to increase the foot fall exponentially and make the Visitor Centre an exciting central hub during the 2011 Edinburgh Festival."
